September 24, 09 Now, now, even Mariah Carey “Plagiarizes” 2NE1.

There’s a lot of crap about the YG Family’s artists plagiarizing American artists since Sony Music send them a “warning letter” on Sunday, regarding G-Dragon’s song, “Heartbreaker.” Ever since GD teased us with “Heartbreaker” before the release of his solo album, crazy netizens have been spamming various forums saying that it sounded like Flo Rida’s “Right Round.” The “warning letter” that was released on Sunday also mentioned the other songs that they say GD and other YG plagiarized. For example, GD’s “Butterfly” (”copied” Oasis’ “She’s Electric”), 2NE1’s “I Don’t Care” (”copied” Lionel Richie’s “Just Go”) and Big Bang’s “With U” (Joe’s “Rock Wit U”).

Gosh, such a long list, eh? My response to that? Okay, GD’s “Heartbreaker” does sound like “Right Round” in the beginning of that song, but it’s just the beats that are similar. Then on “Butterfly”? Not at all. I don’t hear any similarities at all. Then on 2NE1’s “I Don’t Care,” I guess I hear like, 4 seconds of similarities in “Just Go”’s chorus. Then I guess Big Bang’s “With U” is totally a sampling of the “Rock Wit U” song. The entire chorus sounds 90% alike. Even the lyrics are 90% similar. Couldn’t those official just say that it’s a Japanese version of the song? All of these craze is just driving me nuts.

On the other hand, one of my fave artists of all time, Mariah Carey is releasing her new album “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” next Tuesday (yay). And one of the songs off of her album, “Standing O,” has some parts that sounds quite similar to 2NE1’s “In the Club,” which was released 3 months before. So, WOW! OMG! MARIAH CAREY PLAGIARIZED K-POP BAND, 2NE1!!! YG should totally sue the composers!!!

Gosh, melody similarities is going to exist. It is just a matter of coincidence, not effing plagiarism! What is wrong with these people for making a big fuss out of this? Anyway, below is “In the Club” and the link to “Standing O.” You be the judge.

September 19, 09 Harry Potter 1 & 2 Ultimate Editions!

I have known for couple of months that WB is going to release the Harry Potter Ultimate Edition DVDs this year. Well, more info has came out about what the contents of the DVDs will be for the first two HP movies: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets! The two sets of DVDs will be released on December 8th, the same date that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is going to release on DVDs in the US (Yippee). Looks like there’s going to be some amazing contents! There’s going to be an extended edition of the original film that we have never seen (omg, can’t wait for that!!!) and also Creating the Harry Potter World that can be found on the HP1 UE and Creatures of the HP World or something along the lines of that. There’s going to be a total of 5 DVDs to each set. There’s also more features which you can view below…

DISC 2: Extended Version with 7 Minutes of Footage Not Shown in Theatres.

The sad thing is that the Blu-Ray DVDs have better special features…but it’s more expensive and I don’t have a blu-ray DVD player. I have a special multi-region one (so that I can watch my TVXQ concerts) that I want to keep.

September 10, 09 Updating on the HP World

I have been so out of the HP world on its news! Or any of the news for that matter. So, today, I am gonna blog about it…on the recent news. Anyway, it has been CONFIRMED that Emma Watson is attending Brown University! OMG! It was confirmed on her official website. WOW. I have been so out of it, but have they finish filming Deathly Hallows already? Gosh, this is the first movie that I haven’t been keeping up-to-date. I feel so ashamed of myself. I just lost interest in the internet so much that I don’t constantly check for news as much as I used to.

On the other hand, the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is going to be filled with deleted scenes and even with the JKR documentary that I have been wanting to watch since…forever! Gosh, I can’t believe it’s going to be on the DVD…hold on, is this going to be on the US version?! I hope so! I can’t wait ’til December. ‘Cause December means HBP DVD and also winter break. Heh. All of those exams will be over by then so I can breathe.

Gosh, I really gotta check on the HP news. Oh yeah, I also don’t have any clues as to what is happening in the New Moon world either. It’s kinda sad. But I don’t care about it as much as DH!!! WEEE.

September 7, 09 What? Jay from 2PM call it quits???!!!

I just got home from my aunts house and signed onto All K-Pop…and in the top news story it says Jabeom from 2PM is quitting 2PM!!! OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG! WHA? When I clicked the article, the whole page disappeared. I guess this shocking news created a lot of traffic to the site, thus the breakdown? OMG, I WANNA READ WHAT HAPPENED! I know he got a lot of criticism for saying, “Koreans sucks.” or something along the lines of that, couple of years ago. But gosh, these Koreans are being stupid (no offense)…why make Jay quit when he’s got so many talents? As long as he is a great dancer and singer (and have a great bod), what’s the point of telling him quits when he got so much talent?! Gosh, those netizens. I mean, I agree a part to his myspace comment in the past…the Korean culture is so much different than Americans, therefore, it would be a huge cultural shock for him when he first lived in Korea.

Man, if this is true, what’s gonna become of 2PM? Who’s going to take his place and become the leader? Is JYP going to find a replacement so that the group will still have 7 members? So much questions. I hope Jay will change his mind and stay. This is really sad news for the Hottest, indeed.

I wonder if he still thinks Korea is weird…According to the article that I read (I can kinda access All K-Pop now), he will be coming home to the US tomorrow. Damn, now I can’t access the page again!
