September 5, 10 Still Semi-H: My Experience at the SMTOWN concert!!!

SO…SMTOWN 2010 is the best concert I have ever been to…mainly because of TVXQ, Super Junior, SHINee, and (okay, even though I am not a Sone) SNSD. And nope, I did not forget about BoA; she was awesome but nowadays, K-Pop GROUPS are all the fans care about so the cheers were mainly for those three groups. I know I haven’t written anything for a while, so today (or rather, tonight) I am going to give you guys the main awesomeness of the concert.

Anyway, the concert started around 7-ish PM with J-Min who I didn’t know who she was when she went on stage with an acoustic guitar (this girl can sing and play at the same time…real talented) but then I remember reading her name somewhere. Anyway, she sang two numbers and spoke some pretty good English for a non-English speaker. She said she was honored to open for SMTOWN and all. Pretty good perf; the cheers were pretty appreciative.

Then The Grace’s Sunday went on stage to do a solo number…I think SM has shunned The Grace aside for too long because nobody knew who she was so therefore, the cheers for her was just plain polite…I guess there are few Sunday/The Grace fans out there in the crowd, but we didn’t really hear them. Anyway, after Sunday, The Grace’s Dana goes on stage and does her own solo. I don’t know about her…she does have a decent voice but I think she just haven’t sung Korean for a long time thus her voice was a bit shaky here and there. However, when she did a duet stage with fellow member Sunday, they harmonized really well. But yeah, people sitting in front of me were like, “Who are they?” I wanted to shout “They are from The Grace, geez!”

June 13, 10 Update on life…and 2 wallpapers!

Okay, so seriously, I haven’t have time for leisure time at all since Spring ‘10 ended. I have been working 6 days a week; Sunday being my only day off. Then I also have classes for the summer session which means I get a test each Friday and have to read a ton of chapters! Omg, when’s my leisure time finally coming? I have a feeling it’s not gonna happen, what with my job. But then, I really needed the money! I just friggin’ bought an iPod Touch on eBay…’cause my f*cking father took away the ol’ Dell laptop from my room after he hit me across the face for bothering him about food. Okay, come on now…he got fired from his job and didn’t even bother to look for another while my mom is the only one earning money to support this family of 4…one being in college. Anyway, he took my laptop after my mom gave him fits for not doing anything and just eating all us kids’ food (my bro’s and mine) and how he wouldn’t even cook something for me after I got home from work (okay, I have a test to take RIGHT AFTER I got off work…so I didn’t have time to stop and cook some ramen before doing the test…there’s a time limit). So anyway, he said, “F*CK YOU! Cook for yourself, I’m busy!”…AS IF! He was just sitting there on the sofa watching friggin’ Asian dramas while my mom was nipping something up for me. Gosh, I never respected that guy…I can’t believe he’s my father. Then anyway, he hit me across the face then ran up the stairs and jacked my laptop, saying that “he” bought it and he doesn’t want me using it…Okay, first off, he didn’t buy it. My mom paid for it a long time ago…during the time that he didn’t have a job (he totally was jobless for more than 10 years on and off ’cause of his f*cking lazy-ass). Anyway, I guess now my room doesn’t have a laptop for the time being…so I decided to get a iPod Touch…which I just did. Crap. Yep, just 5 minutes after the slapping-in-the-face thing, I went on eBay and bought a “new” iPod…I really hope the dude selling it is true to his word…gosh, I hate used stuff…So yep, now I can totally hide in my room and watch youtube vids under my sheets…heh heh. BUT SH*T…now I am super poor again! Well, I guess I have been wanting a iPod Touch forevaaa…so…um…yeah. I guess it’s okay. I will just have to work twice as hard and don’t buy any other useless things for a while.

Okay, enough of my rant. The purpose of this blog is actually to display two new wallpapers. First one is MBLAQ featuring pix from their 2nd single, [Y] and the second wallpaper is of Super Junior, featuring pix from their 4th album, BONAMANA. I made them awhile ago (when the albums first came out) but I didn’t have time to put them up here onto the site.

March 1, 10 American’s Social Decay…

Okay, so I am extremely pissed today. First off, I do want to say that I am brought up by semi-strict parents although I often talk back to them, their strict values did fall into me. Like, for example, I think certain things are wrong while some other people don’t think so. So yep, my parents are pretty strict Asians, I guess but I have to say that I am pretty much Americanized. I am official liberal when it comes to politics and thinking (such as I support gay marriage [whatever floats their boat, ya know] and abortion [with lots of limitations and having to go through a long process of governmental approval, though!]) but I do consider a part of me being a bit conservative in some areas. Anyway, ever since I entered college, I saw a new side of the American society and I think it is decaying and sometimes I even want to move out of the country because I am so ashamed of some the things that Americans do (that I don’t) and that it is wrong.

Here are some examples that shows how America is decaying…socially:
*Money is everything: i.e. money can buy love, but this applies to countries around the world though
*Money doesn’t worth a thing: I have seen classmates throwing quarters, dollar bills etc. down the trash even way back in elementary school. WTF? Donate your piggy bank to the needy then!
*We like to waste: “We” meaning Americans and I feel bad most of the time doing so. Anyway, I buy coffee and then trash the cup. I turn on the light in every room just to go to the bathroom. Start conserving energy and recycle! I started! It’s never too late.
*Cell phones in elementary school is normal: Well, it’s starting to become normal anyway. When I was in elementary school, my entire household only had one cellphone! Kids these days…
*Dating in elementary school is normal: I met ppl my age that told me they dated when they were in 2nd grade. Now, I saw a boy in elementary school (since I volunteer) trying to woo over this girl.
*If you haven’t date before you turn 16, you are weird: You are basically the talk of the school…if not town.
*If you haven’t had sex before you turn 18, you are weird: Okay, basically everyone I know nowadays had done it. It’s so normal. HA.
*Teenage Pregnancy is becoming a normal trend: You know that American teenage pregnancy rate has gone up over the past 10 years? Tsk, tsk. And the sad thing is that most parents think it is okay.
*Underage smoking is a must-try: And I know that a lot of Asian countries do smoke…so this is not specifically for Americans.
*Underage drinking is a must-try: Same thing as above.
*Majority of American teenagers have tried Hookah: Even the good girls and boys have tried it, believe it or not (okay, I have not, ’cause I am really against “inhaling” things).
*Getting high is very common among college students: Heh, and I am a witness seeing as I am a college student.
*Alcohol + Life = A Must: Seriously, whenever I pass by my neighbors, they are always drinking…even with kids present. WTF? Okay, drink among yourselves, since it is common among ppl of all countries, but why in front of kids? Okay, I do admit that a lot of Chinese does that too.
*For most, partying is a must: Partying every other night or however often is a must, even if you are married and have kids (also a witness, I was like, WTF?)

And I couldn’t think of any more at the moment although I am sure there are lots more…but seeing as it is already 3AM and I have school, I am gonna stop here.

Anyway, can you see how the American society is decaying? No wonder there are so much more crimes because values no longer exist among some…just some; I am sure not all American are like that. If you think that the list above is completely normal things that you do, well, you are one of the typical American.

::sigh:: I really want to move to a country where everyone is modest but I guess human nature is imperfect, so I guess wherever I go, there are going to be similar problems. Hmm, I really do want to move to another country and live there temporarily though; then I will be able to see the difference.

February 18, 10 Happy birthday to…

Shim Changmin! Today is the 18th, which means is TVXQ/TOHOSHINKI/DBSK’s maknae’s (youngest) birthday! Changminnie turns 22 today (awww). Hope he had a great day yesterday celebrating his birthday (since it’s already the 19th in Korea). =] Max, keep growing taller and cuter! Hehehe.

On the other hand, the results of THSK’s BEST SELECTION 2010 is gonna come out at around 3AM Pacific Time on the Oricon so I will update this post later with a screen shot. Hopefully they are gonna be #1!

Also, I just found out that on March 24th, the date that THSK’s “Toki wo Tomete” is gonna come out, Johnny Entertainment’s NEWS is also releasing their new single, “Sakura Girl“! I checked on CD Japan and their single has already been sold out! I really hope THSK will be at #1 on the Oricon again but let me tell you, Johnny boy groups are really hard to beat! Remember ARASHI against THSK’s awesome single, “Stand by U“? Even though “Stand by U” was the highest single THSK ever sold at that time, it still sold at #2, behind ARASHI. ::sigh:: I really hope THSK will make history this time by beating a Johnny group…if they do, then this is something that will take every one by surprise. Come on Cassies, we can do it!

No hard feelings on NEWS…in fact, I like them better than ARASHI teehee (okay Johnny girls, don’t burn my house!!!) but against my most fave group in the world, well, TOHOSHINKI has got to win! =]

February 7, 10 OMG, HAPPY B-DAY YUNHO!

I feel so, so bad right now! I totally forgot it was my ~~husband~~, TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho’s birthday yesterday! I am so sorry honey~~~please forgive me. Anyway, he turned 24 yesterday and I wish him a happy belated birthday. Hope he spent his day happily with his family and friends. I can kinda see that the members didn’t spend it with him since they are all scattered across the globe right now…hope they make up soon. So yep, saranghaeyo Yunho!

January 26, 10 Happy B-day, Jaejoong!

Today is a happy, happy day! First off, it’s my one of my fave, fave guy in the whole-wide-world’s birthday! Hero Jaejoong from TVXQ turns 24 today (or 25 in Korean age)!!! Hope he had a great day yesterday (he celebrated it yesterday)!

Anyway, like the above picture showed you, I’ve got my copy of TVXQ or TOHOSHINKI’s 29th Japanese single, “BREAK OUT!“! Gosh, I love CD Japan! The single was just released today in Japan and I received it in the mail today! I guess when it comes to pre-ordering, I will go to CD Japan again! Well, I also pre-ordered their best-of album, so I hope I will receive it on the same day. =]

Lookie, I got Changmin’s card this time! I think the only one I need now is Jaejoong’s! Or Yoochun’s…ahhh, I am still missing a lot. Well, at least I got my ~~husband’s~~ (Yunho)! Hurray for first press!

January 13, 10 Had to Update…TVXQ!

To be honest with you all, I am not as interested in fan sites as much as I have been when I started years ago. Maybe it has finally grew out on me? Now my interest on the internet has been on shopping and watching youtube videos. Other than that, I have laid off fan sites…so anyway, I have been too lazy to update but today it’s different! My favorite boy group in the whole-wide-world is releasing a best-of album (which I found out last month) in February 17th and today, they have announced the name of the album and released the album arts! For all you K-Pop and J-Pop fans, TOHOSHINKI or TVXQ has announced that their best-of album is going to be called “Best Selection 2010“! The album covers are below.

And fans, if you haven’t pre-order the Japan original version yet to help the boys on the Oricon charts in February, do so right away!

Anyway, I think the album arts are simply beautiful. Their expression is kinda…down though, especially Version A’s. Yunho has been looking down last year during those year-end performances in Japan…although he looked a lot better when he was doing charity works…but maybe that’s because he’s away from the “trio” (Jaejoong, Yoochun, & Junsu). I hope TVXQ will become one again; heart, mind, and soul! This “dispute” between the members are driving me nuts! Make up soon!

Anyway, school started yesterday…or, um, Monday, since it’s already 1:43AM on Wednesday. Anyway, I got into a car accident yesterday (Monday) and my car’s totally ruined. My family is gonna be extremely poor because of the possible rise of insurance…=[

Okiee, gonna go to sleep now. School tomorrow. Ugh. Yes, it’s only the 2nd day but still…ugh.
