Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone 10th Anniversary…

So, MuggleNet is having us fans send in our “story” about Harry Potter for the upcoming tenth anniversary of Sorcerer’s Stone. Below is my entry about how this whole Harry Potter thing started for me.

21 August, 08 New HQ Image of Dumbledore

Images from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is coming in very slowly. Today, we have only one new HQ picture and it is one with Sir Michael Gambon as Professor Dumbledore standing in the Great Hall, wearing glasses (I know, run-on sentence). It’s a pretty interesting picture, I guess, but I want more!!!

Well, it’s my birthday baby! I am officially nineteen. Emotion? Hmm…I am pretty emo-less at the moment. Don’t really feel a difference. Maybe later? Damn, two more years and I can gamble and drink. Muwhahaha. J/k, I hate gambling and drinking. =P Bad for you. Anyway, I made a list “Things to look forward to in the rest of the year 2008 and then 2009“. Below.

17 August, 08 Update…actually bloggin’ this time…

There’s a very high quality and up-close video of the Twilight cast at Comic-Con ‘08. You can view the video on this dude’s page. He apparently filmed the whole thing very up close. I think he might be press guy or something.

On the other hand, Naruto Shippuden’s filler arc has finally ended last Thursday! YAY! I usually watch the episodes on Saturday night even though I download it on Thursday. But anyway, the stupid filler arc has finally ended and then they are about to enter what I like to call, the “Hidan Arc” or the “Farewell to Asuma Arc”. So yeah, next week is gonna be full of action.

OMG, one more week and I will be in college. Freshman year. AHHH. I am freaking out. I don’t wanna go, I don’t wanna go! People kept saying that college rocks but I am afraid. AHHH. ‘Cause there are also people who said that there’s a lot of studying. Dude. I suck at studying. Seriously. Am I gonna survive college? Anybody got a Survive Your Freshman Year in College 101? I just wanna sit at home and read HP and learn more about web-building.

Speaking of college. Do I really need to bring a laptop to school? I currently have one desktop and two laptops; one of the laptop is a very old Sony VAIO, which I gave to my brother since he’s learning how to play learning games on it. The other laptop I just got in June and is a Dell. I am using it right now. I call this laptop my room’s computer ’cause that’s where I use it. You see, I don’t want to lose my room’s computer ’cause I tend to check on updates before I go to sleep every night. However, if college is requiring a laptop, then I won’t have a room’s computer anymore! NO!!! So I am thinking of getting another laptop. Like a very cheap one. Doesn’t have to be nice. I know I am gonna drop it all the time if I bring it to school, so I want to get a cheap one to bring to school. Any suggestions as to where you can find cheap laptops? I usually buy stuff online, so maybe if you know any online stores that sells cheap but pretty good computers, tell me!

Well dudes, tonight, midnight, I will turn 19! OMG, I will be 20 next year! How freaky! I still feel like a kid. Well, a much more mature kid I guess. So guys, don’t forget those presents!

EDIT: I just found out that Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) sings. Haha. Yeah, I haven’t been doing any follow-ups on him since Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, so I didn’t know he started singing. I was just reading this new interview that Scholastic had with him and it gave me the link to his YouTube. He is pretty good, too! He goes under the name of Feltbeats and can be found on iTunes. You should check out his stuff…wow.

I know once college starts, I wouldn’t have time to make layouts and wouldn’t be able to learn how to make layouts and stuff. So, I sat myself down and…I experimented with a flash layout! This is my first flash layout and second layout that I made total. I haven’t got that many experience doing layouts, so please comment! Give me comments, suggestions, tips, and what you think! I would truly appreciate them. =]

15 August, 08 Twilight movie rescheduled

Now that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has moved the release from November 21st, 2008 to July 17th, 2009, Twilight is taking advantage of the time slot and moved their release date to November 21st, 2008 instead of December 12th, 2008. Here’s what Summit Entertainment has to say:

SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT MOVES UP RELEASE DATE FOR TWILIGHT TO NOVEMBER 21, 2008
Los Angeles, CA August 15, 2008 â€” TWILIGHT, the first film in Summit Entertainmentâ€™s thriller romance franchise, has moved up its North American release date to Friday, November 21, 2008. The film, which was previously planned to be released on December, 12, 2008, is taking advantage of an opening in the upcoming fall release calendar. The new release date for TWILIGHT allows the studio to both bring the film to the written-seriesâ€™ enormous fan base sooner, and to present the film in more theatres prior to the holiday movie-going season where traditionally screen time for any popular film is limited.

Is this rescheduling thing really a good idea?! The next thing you know, Spider-man 4 is going to be reschedule to January 2009 and they haven’t even wrote the script yet.

15 August, 08 Half-Blood Prince HQs from WB

As I predicted (well, many of the HP fanatics), WB has released two HQ images from the upcoming movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which is hitting theater summer 2009.

I am feelin’ some more coming up. So I will edit this post with more when WB does send us fans some more images.
